Solutions to funding conundrums
 Partner colleges have successfully funded Ride The Wave activities in a number of ways, including combining different budgets. That experience enables us to advise colleges how budgets can be knitted together.
Ride The Wave delivers a number of learning and corporate objectives, most at the same time:
- Enrichment activity funded through student ‘entitlement’ funding
- A key skills qualification funded through Key or Wider Key Skills funding
- A functional skills qualification as part of the delivery for diploma students for Maths, English and ICT
- An enterprise qualification as part of the NCFE Level 2 Award and Certificate for Developing Enterprise Capabilities
- Improved retention rates which will increase overall funding receipts
- Staff CPD which is a cost-effective method of achieving the 30hrs allocated to all staff members
- Employer engagement, community development and public relations opportunities, helping to meet core college corporate objectives in a cost effective way
