Wider Key Skills Funding 2008/2009
Mr Standing from the National Employer Service at the LSC, who was one of the contributors to the FE Funding Guidelines for 2008/2009, indicated that as far as he was concerned, Wider Key Skills funding will follow the previously published guidelines and as usual it will be up to the EV to evaluate whether the activity undertaken, such as that included in The Plunge is sufficient to cover the Skill area.
Core Key Skills are now listed on the LAD and have a recommendation of 36 glh although the implication is that this is not a max or min. If the EV believes that the Key Skill can be covered in say 21, 25 or 30 hours that is fine. The 36 hours simply defines the level at which it is funded.
